To establish perhaps the easiest-to-create RSS feed of them all, go
to the Members Forum HOME PAGE. Look in the right column for the
Housekeeping header. Click on
"Entries RSS." That will take you to a ready-made feed reader
page on the Internet which is the page you want to add to your
Favorites/Bookmarks Bar. Stay on that page until it appears in your bar.
How do you get the NCLTL link to appear on the bar? Let's use the example below. See the gray bar at the top of the photo which shows http://www.freestockcharts.com/. Just to the left of that link, inside the gray bar, you will see an "e" in a box. That is a favicon. Drag it and drop it onto your Favorites Bar. You can right-click over NCLTL and rename it to "NCLTL Forum" to distinguish it from a link to the NCLTL Website; you can link to both. (You can also right-click over bar items that you want to delete. That deletes the shortcut/link but has no effect on the program itself. You can also drag links bar items left or right, line them up in alphabetical order, etc.) |
| When you add the page to the Favorites Bar (Internet Explorer) or Bookmarks Bar (in some others), it will look like this. Notice NCLTL to the right of the NC favicon. This row of data is also sometimes called your links bar. It may or may not presently appear on your browser but you have it and you can get it to appear, sometimes by right-clicking near the top of the page. From there, you may turn it on. |

In this scene, you are on
the Web checking out the stock market at FreeStockCharts.com and you
decide you want to see if there is anything new on the NCLTL Members
Forum. A single click on NCLTL produces a drop-down list of articles
that are posted on the Members Forum. They are in reverse chronological
order (the most recent on top). Without leaving the stock market Web
page, you can see if there is anything on the Forum that you want to
read. Unread articles will appear in bold-face type.
